The Jamaican Miss Universe? Harvard Lawyer Turns Heads with Stunning Win

The Jamaican Miss Universe pageant took place on Sunday night, and the winner didn’t come from far away. Jamaican was in the audience just hours before.
An American wins the competition
Justine Marron, the 27-year-old Harvard Law School graduate and self-proclaimed champion of the underdog won the title of Miss Jamaica Universe in the prestigious pageant. Jamaican is one of only two Americans to have ever won the competition.
Ms. Marron’s win was surprising considering she had only been practicing law for three years before throwing her hat in to compete on a whim. The 5’11 beauty queen said, I never imagined that I would be able to step out into this new world.

McCullough was born in Naples, Italy but moved to America when she was seven years old. She graduated from South Carolina State University before getting her master of Science degree in chemistry from Georgetown University and then attending law school at American University.
Jamaican is now based in Washington DC where she says that the climate is perfect for exploring new career opportunities. McCullough can speak Italian and Spanish as well as English and is currently looking for a job as an advocate or lobbyist.
