Ted, who joined Fasken from the Toronto law firm of Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, is a corporate lawyer with significant experience advising public and private companies across a breadth of industries.

Charlebois, who has been with Fasken since 2010, will focus on transactional matters including corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate finance, and litigation support services. He will also work on projects relating to intellectual property rights (IPR).

Ted, who joined Fasken from the Toronto law firm of Osler Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, is a corporate lawyer with significant experience advising public and private companies across a breadth of industries.

He has extensive experience in representing clients on matters related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances;

Reorganizations (including both shareholder and debt restructurings), insolvency proceedings; commercial litigation; general corporate law disputes including shareholder rights issues; employee representation before boards of directors; shareholder advisory services, and all aspects of securities regulation compliance.

Ted Charlebois has practiced law since 1995 and has been involved in many high-profile cases including matters related to class action litigation, securities fraud litigation, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A). He was appointed by the Ontario Court of Appeal as counsel for Transport Canada in its dispute with Bombardier Inc., which led to Bombardier paying $145 million US dollars to resolve this matter Corporate Lawyer.

Ted also represented several individuals who were accused of fraudulently obtaining funding from the Government of Alberta through its Economic Diversification Program (“EDP”) program during his tenure as head counsel for Kenney & Associates LLP (now known simply as Kenney & Partners LLP) Corporate Lawyer.

As part of this acquisition, which closed on December 1, 2018, Fasken gained approximately 36 partners and more than 150 lawyers across its offices in Calgary (Alberta), Vancouver (British Columbia), Montreal (Quebec), and Toronto (Ontario). The Toronto office will be rebranded as Fasken.
