A Former Orange County Deputy District Attorney, Current Professor of Law, and Practicing Attorney.
February 17, 2023

I am a practicing attorney that has had success in the courtroom. My career highlights include prosecuting cases, winning at trial, and defending clients who have been charged with crimes. I have worked as a deputy district attorney in Orange County, California. I have prosecuted more than 100 cases and tried over 25 jury trials. My trial experience includes crimes ranging from drug possession to murder.
Background
I am a former Orange County Deputy District Attorney, current professor of law at Southwestern University School of Law, and practicing attorney. I have been involved in the criminal justice system since graduating from college in 2008.
After receiving my undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, I returned home to join the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor for four years before transitioning into private practice where I specialized in defending clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors throughout Southern California.
In 2013, I relocated back to LA because it was home to my family and friends but also because this area was experiencing an explosion in gang violence which demanded more attention than ever before—and that’s exactly what we had!
It was during this time that I chose to focus on defending people who were accused of crimes, including gang-related offenses and other violent crimes. As a former prosecutor, I understood how important it was for individuals to have an attorney who could advocate for them in court while also understanding the complexities of their lives outside of it.
